Elly Van Zevenbergen McHenry

I am a teacher here in Waukesha. Since 1969 I have been up to a lot just like everyone else. Married, kids, divorced, back to school, etc. Have to say it's been up and down but overall it's been great.

I live in Waukesha and have been here ever since my parents moved here after my sophomore year! I hated it then but love it now.

I acutally wanted to be a history teacher when I left school. It took me much longer than I expected but that is kind of what I am. I teach at-risk high school seniors and my primary subjects are English and Social Studies. It only took until 1994 for me to get the degree but better late than never!

I would love to go back and visit my relatives in Holland but there never seems to be enough time or money!

Graduating from college (the first in my family) and watching all three of my children graduate from college. It took a lot of work but it was worth it.
