ANNOUNCEMENTS

Hi Class,

As you may have been notified by now, Washington High School will be celebrating its 100th anniversary next year, and a big gala is now in the planning stages.

When: October 22, 2011

Where: Wisconsin Expo Center - on the State Fair grounds

Time: 6:00- 12:00 (may be amended)

Hotel- Hilton Milwaukee- 509 W. Wisconsin Ave.: Rooms have been reserved at the rate of $129/night. We'll have a hospitality suite available, and the hotel is providing complimentary shuttle service to and from the Expo Center.

A tour of the school is in the planning stages, as well as other events for the day before and the day after. As with our reunion, the 100th is being driven through a class creator website, so you'll be comfortable navigating your way through. Please go to www.milwaukeewashington100.com to register, as this will be the primary source of communication for the event.  Although your name and e-mail address are already entered, we did not permit transfer the rest of your information to the new site. The root administrator for the 100th site is Joe Kmoch, however, who has been maintaining the school database of former students for a quarter of a century. We want to make sure you know that your privacy is, again, well protected. (Ron Bowers, Julie Ravely and I are administrators as well.) The 100th committee is seeking volunteers, so please sign up at www.milwaukeewashington100.com if so inclined.

We'll keep this site current as well on the 100th updates, under a link on the left called- who would have guessed?- 100th Updates. There is also a User Forums topic for questions/comments regarding  the 100th. The Expo Center is big enough that, depending on interest, we can reserve a separate area for the 69ers. And given the interest, who knows?- we might have a Friday night Libiamos/Mama Mia's gathering again.

Let us know if you have any questions or ideas on the 100th. And please pass along this information to fellow classmates who are not signed up on this site.

The 40th reunion class pictures are available at www.stachowiak.us/WHS . Those listed as WHS June 69 40th Reunion and WHS June 69 40th Reunion have names at the bottom.
